There’s a lovely sense of movement in this print. How does Lum achieve this?
The colors on this seem streaky. Is that deliberate, bad printing or a function of age? I think it’s actually the grain of the wood.
I placed an order for some of the Derwent ColourSoft pencils that I didn’t already have in those colours. All the colours I bought would be considered lightfast but I wanted to to try filling in some additional colours by ordering from Derwent’s “Lightfast” line. So I ordered the”Turquoise Green”. As a color it’s nice enough but it lacks the “smooth as butter” texture of the ColourSofts. It feels… scratchy. I’ll be sticking to the Derwent Drawing Coloured Pencils and the Coloursofts from now on.
